The Avangard is a 49m (161 ft) long, 8.8 m (28 ft) wide deluxe ship, with a cruising speed of nine nautical miles per hour. The Avangard is under construction and due for launch in early 2017 featuring the latest state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. The ship has a maximum capacity of 36 passengers in 18 twin or double cabins, ensuring exceptional personal service. The ships main deck features a spacious air-conditioned dining room with bar area which features an LCD TV, a corner buffet breakfast table and outdoor covered lounge area.
The ship features 18 modern air-conditioned cabins with 10 main deck cabins and 8 lower deck cabins measuring approx 13 to 15 sq meters. All cabins are fully equipped and include a safe deposit box, fire alarm, emergency lights and internal communication for announcements by the cruise director or captain. In addition, each cabin has life jackets, desk and tabouret, wardrobe, night stand, small sofa and a window (main) or port hole (lower deck). The bathrooms on board the ship are fitted with a toilet, shower, washbasin and hair dryer.
The ship offers plenty of indoor and outdoor space for guests to enjoy with a spacious restaurant and bar area on the main deck with LCD TV, accompanied by a covered outdoor lounge area with sofas. The upper deck is perfect for sunbathing with plenty of sun-loungers for all passengers, a shaded area and an onboard Jacuzzi. Guests looking to swim from the ship are provided with a platform at the back of the ship with additional ladder access to enter the water. A further two outdoor showers and two deck lavatories are also available.
MV Avangard cruise guests will enjoy half board meals, which consists of a daily buffet breakfast, 6 set lunches with 3 courses, complimentary fresh fruit and 1.5l of bottled water per passenger daily. This cruise also includes 3 evening meals on board. Dining on board the Avangard is in a relaxed and informal setting, with no formal dress code necessary. The onboard bar offers a selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks which are available to purchase and are payable at the end of your cruise.
The Avangard, much like the other deluxe ships include a wide selection of day trips and private airport transfers included in the price you pay. The day trips include guided tours of Split, Hvar, Korcula and Dubrovnik. Entrance fees to the Mljet National Park, Dubrovnik cable car and a wine tasting tour to a local vineyard are also included. The deluxe one-way cruises include a visit to an oyster farm in Ston with oyster tasting opportunities.
