Croatia Diving Holidays

Croatia is one of Europe’s undiscovered diving destinations and its fast emerging as one of the most interesting diving locations in Europe. Croatia benefits from thousands of tiny islands and reef’s surrounded by turquoise blue water with fantastic visibility and gentle currents. Dolphins often spotted in Summer months and several ship wrecks make diving holidays in Croatia truly memorable.

Europe’s emerging dive destination

With flights to Croatia from 8 UK and Irish airports and a mere 2 hours away, Croatia is emerging as an interesting diving destination. The Croatian Government who are keen to promote tourism haven’t forgotten about the diving community either. Whilst dive permits are still required to dive, there is a nominal fee to obtain one.

What does Croatia have to offer divers?

Croatia has some of the clearest water in Europe which is great for visibility. It benefits from being sheltered from strong currents and its warm Mediterranean water attracts a wide range of fish. The Croatian coast has several caves and overhangs which are great for divers to explore. Dolphins are often spotted by divers in the Summer months.

Do I need to be experienced to dive in Croatia?

No. Thankfully the coast benefits from gentle currents and good visibility which really suits all dive levels. Experienced divers will appreciate several wreck dives along the coast.

Can I get my dive qualifications in Croatia?

Yes. We work closely with experienced dive centres in Split, Dubrovnik and Opatija who offer very competitive PADI course prices which includes the hire of all your equipment.

What about out of the water?

Where do we start. Croatia offers everything. Ancient UNESCO listed cities of Split and Dubrovnik with their fabulous Old Town’s are a pleasure to explore. If you fancy something a bit more up beat, hop over to the hip island of Hvar with its gorgeous beaches, lush vegetation, extensive hotels and world renowned nightlife. Croatia boasts an array of stunning lakes and national parks including Plitvice Lakes National Park which is one of the worlds most beautiful national park’s. The Istria region is full of vineyards, rolling hills, medieval towns and often compared to Tuscany.
