Split & Solaris Resort Family Activity Holiday
This adventure holiday is perfect for families looking for a balance between an exciting family activity holiday and the opportunity to enjoy some R&R afterwards. The itinerary has been designed to include popular activities such as canyoning, white water rafting and cycling perfect for keeping the family active. There is also a day out to the stunning Krka National Park with its impressive waterfalls. After 5 activity filled days you will be transferred to the popular Solaris Beach Resort where you will spend a further 5 days enjoying a range of watersports, adventure golf or relax at one of the best sandy beaches in Croatia.
The daily activities we’ve included are perfect for the whole family including kids as young as eight, with no prior experience necessary. The cycle tour is manageable for children and helmets are provided. Canyoning and rafting takes place on easy to moderate sized rapids, and includes a wet suit and safety equipment. Each of the activities will be done in a group led by highly experienced English speaking guides.

Day 1 – Arrive in Split
Welcome to Split! After checking into your hotel, spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Split Old Town and the stunning UNESCO-listed Diocletian Palace. Old Town is packed with cafes, restaurants and shops selling traditional wares, plenty to keep you busy.
Day 2 – Canyoning on Cetina River
Today you’re visiting Cetina river canyon, where you will join a small canyoning group, led by an experienced guide. Explore the Canyon of Cetina River, with plenty of opportunities for swimming and cliff jumping. This is an activity for everyone, guaranteeing great fun.
Day 3 – Cycling Tour of Split
Enjoy an easy-level guided cycling tour of Split and its surrounding areas, exploring Split’s beaches, promenades and offering stunning views from Marjan Hill, overlooking Diocletian Palace and islands in front. You will have the afternoon free to visit the popular Kasjuni Beach or sandy Bacvice beach.
Day 4 – Free day
Optional Five-Island Speedboat tour to Blue Cave – Take a break from the activities and take a day off to further explore Split or visit Trogir, another beautiful UNESCO-listed town and nearby Klis Fortress, offering stunning panoramic views of Split.
Alternatively, if you’re up for another adventure, board a speedboat for a tour of 5 islands and an unforgettable visit to Blue Cave, a stunning natural phenomenon. Spend the day cliff jumping, snorkelling, cave diving and discovering hidden coves and beaches.
Day 5 – Rafting on Cetina River
Today you will be visiting Cetina river canyon, a perfect destination for water sports in Omis near Split. Join our experienced guides for a small rafting group tour and descend along the white waters of Cetina River, offering stunning views of nature and a day of fun!
Day 6 – Arrival to Solaris
After breakfast and check out, our driver will transfer you to Solaris resort. After checking into your hotel, explore the resort and all it has to offer. There are swimming pools, aqua park, beaches and a mini golf terrain. Plenty to keep the kids busy!
Day 7 – Day Trip to Krka Waterfalls National Park
Spend the day exploring Krka National Park, its river, lakes and waterfalls, walking the paths leading you through stunning nature and Medieval ruins. Don’t forget your swimsuit as swimming in the lake is allowed in front of the impressive Skradinski Buk waterfall.
Day 8 – Free Day
Optional – Visit traditional Dalmatian Ethno Village, where you can see how the people of the region lived in the past. Observe the preparation of Peka meals (a national dish cooked slowly under a metal dome), cooks preparing meals made with the flour made in their own 100-year-old watermill. They also have weaving workshops, a brandy distillery and oil refinery, where you can create your own souvenirs. Alternatively, visit the local falconry centre and meet hawks and owls.
Day 9 – Free Day
Optional – Enjoy sailing around Sibenik archipelago aboard Galija Explorer Ship. This authentic galley ship was built in 1914, and it was first used as transport to Sibenik’s closest island, Zlarin. Today, it’s been lovingly restored by specialist wooden ship-building craftsmen from the local island of Murter.
Day 10 – Free Day
Optional sea and river kayaking, caving or canoe safari – If you’d like to add another sport activity to your holiday, you can discover local landscape by going kayaking and canoeing along Zrmanja river or caving in Modrič cave. You will also have a chance for a swim in Zramanja river, a welcome refreshment in summer.
Day 11 – Departure Day
Time to bid farewell to Croatia as you are driven to Split Airport for your flight home.
