Day 1 – Arrival in Rome


You will be escorted by private airport transfer to your top-class hotel in Rome, whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Italian countryside where vineyards and pastures swell along the verdant hills. After checking into your hotel, you will have time to explore a section of this enchanting city. Admire the statue of the famous Florentine poet Dante Alighieri, overlooking the wide piazza and visit the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli.

As a millennium-long centre of power, culture and religion, you can visit the iconic Colosseum, the Vatican City or relax in the Borghese gardens amongst Mediterranean trees and tranquil fountains.

Day 2 – Rome – Private Walking Tour


You will meet our guide for a private walking tour of all the main sites of this iconic capital of culture.
3000 years of sporadic development has left Rome’s cityscape as an exhilarating spectacle. The ancient icons such as the Colosseum, Pantheon and Roman Forum recall the time as that Rome was regarded as the fearsome hub of the Roman Empire.

You will explore its picturesque street and in the late afternoon sunshine and have time to spend in street-side cafes and people-watching on pretty piazzas. A wealth of ornate piazzas and elaborate churches add a baroque style flourish to the city’s historic streets. The tempo certainly rises as the soaring heat of the day fades and the fashionably dressed crowd descend on Rome’s bars, trattorias and cafes.

DAY 3 – Transfer to Florence


Transfer by train, travelling in a first-class carriage, to the historic city of Florence and will then check into your boutique hotel. The city is small enough to explore by foot, with a wealth of treasures packed in. This city is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world due to its impact on art, music, architecture and religion.  After checking into the hotel, explore a section of this remarkable city at your own pace, enjoying the glorious Brunelleschi’s dome and the picturesque pedestrianised streets. Visit some of the city’s favourite sights, including Piazza della Signoria with its marvellous Renaissance statues or the popular Uffizi art gallery. Florence has a unique and beautiful style that permeates through everything from its street market shops to its restaurants and snack bars.

DAY 4 – Florence – Private Walking Tour


Meet your guide for an inspirational private guided tour of the city. Your guide leads you along the wide boulevards at the heart of the historic centre to reach the renowned galleries of the Uffizi. The Medici funded the structure to house the magistrate of Florence in the 16th century. Learn about its famous art, architecture and history as you see sights like Ponte Vecchio and Florence Cathedral, aka the Duomo. See Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo and the Uffizi courtyard and learn about Florence’s rich Renaissance history and architecture. You can marvel at the famous statue of David at the Accademia art gallery and enjoy an evening sampling the local delicacies in a pavement café.

DAY 5 – Transfer to Venice


Transfer by train, travelling in a first-class carriage, to the romantic city of Venice, a city certainly like none other. Take a moment to settle into the comforts of your luxurious hotel. Where streets should be, Venice has its famous canals including the Grand Canal with its shimmering waters, a photographer’s dream. What was once a once a wealthy trade centre between Europe and the East, is now a mixture of palaces and churches which reflect centuries of history. Getting lost in Venice’s narrow alleys is as much a part of exploring this wonderful city, as is enjoying an expresso or delicious ice cream from a Gelateria on the Piazza San Marco. Enjoy one of the cafes, that offer the rich aroma of fresh coffee, around the 118 connected islands that create the single city of Venice.

DAY 6 – Venice – Private Walking Tour


Discover the hidden gems of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Venice on an action-packed private walking tour where you will explore its narrow streets and cross some of the 400 wonderful bridges. Our experienced local guide will enlighten you with stories of local secrets as you visit a variety of iconic sites such as St. Mark’s Square, the Grand Canal and Doge’s Palace. You will also have the opportunity to discover Venice’s rich art scene and admire the beautiful architecture including lavish palaces, churches and towers above the narrow canals and rippling waters of the Venetian Lagoon. The opulent palace of Ca d’Oro offers a perfect example of Venetian Gothic architecture. Finish the afternoon by taking a relaxing gondola ride down the hidden passageways and beneath the arching stone bridges.

DAY 7 – Opatija


You will be met by our driver for your private transfer from Venice to the elegant resort of Opatija in Croatia. Admire the beautiful views of this charming region with its pretty hilltop villages during the journey.  Opatija is a charming coastal town with a rich history and culture, boasting impressive monuments, well-manicured parks and glamorous villas that are waiting to be discovered. The enchanting town is the matriarch of Croatian tourism – famed for enticing celebrities from all over Europe during the belle époque. Visit the Croatian Walk of Fame and the small harbour known locally as Portić and the famous statue of the Girl with the Seagull.

DAY 8 – Opatija – Plitvice Lakes National Park Day Trip


Take the private day trip to Croatia’s lake district – the largest National Park in the country – a natural wonderland of enchanting lakes that cascade unto one another via a series of waterfalls that emerge from cracks in eroded rocks and from beneath thick vegetation. It creates a landscape that wouldn’t be out of place in the deepest lakes of China or Vietnam. A chain of 16 terraced lakes and waterfalls that extend into a limestone canyon. Take to the walkways and hiking trails that wind around and across the water or catch the electric boat that links the 12 upper and 4 lower lakes. A day out to enjoy mother nature’s phenomenon!

DAY 9 – Split


Our private transfer along the charming coastline to the fascinating seaside town of Split. Best known for its imposing UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace, Split is Croatia’s second largest city. On arrival, join our private guided tour of the Old Town to discover the popular major highlights of the city, with a brief history lesson on the local historical details. Split is embellished with ancient Roman and medieval architecture that enhances its rich heritage. Spend the evening promenading along the Riva waterfront, hiking to the top of Marjan Hill, or dining on delicious local cuisine in a friendly atmosphere.

DAY 10 – Split – Optional trip to Krka National Park and city of Trogir


The medieval island town of Trogir is a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site that features a well- preserved Old Town with many interesting historic architectural structures and landmark buildings. It’s also home to the majestic Kmerlengo Castle and tower, and a wealth of delightful Gothic-Renaissance and Baroque period attractions that date back thousands of years. From the top of the bell tower, of the 13th century Cathedral of St Lawrence, you can enjoy breathtaking views. Bask in the beauty of the Krka Waterfalls National Park where you will explore the pathways and wooden bridges that wind through the natural wonderland. Admire the Skradinski Buk waterfalls, and swim in Roški Slap.

DAY 11 – Hvar


Today we transfer by catamaran to one of Croatia’s most famous and must-see locations – the wonderful island of Hvar. Hvar Town is set against a backdrop of sun-bleached white houses and tranquil turquoise sea and exudes the magical Mediterranean charm of yesteryear. For the best views over the town centre, hike to the top of Fortica Fortress. Explore the island’s maze of meandering streets and the quaint cafes, restaurants and shops selling unique artisan crafts and wonders. Escape to the neighbouring Pakleni islands, or enjoy free evening time relaxing in the welcoming, friendly atmosphere of this jet-set island.

Blue Cave

DAY 12 – Hvar – Blue Cave & Komiza speedboat, small group tour


Today we visit the magnificent Blue Cave (also known as the Blue Grotto) to discover its unique illumination attraction, a natural phenomenon that can only be accessed by speedboat. The sun’s rays create an atmospheric blue light as they filter through and catch the water. The nearby Green Cave, Monk Cave and Stiniva Cove offer wonderful swimming opportunities and a chance to relax in spectacular natural scenery. Enjoy a refreshing and rejuvenating swim in peaceful crystal-clear waters or jump off cliff sides and snorkel to your heart’s content. In the afternoon, we visit the little fishing town of Komiža and sample the freshly caught fish at a popular local beachfront restaurant.

Day 13 - Dubrovnik


Our final destination is the UNESCO World Heritage site listed Dubrovnik which requires little introduction, affectionately known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, due to its many marble wonders. You will travel by high speed Catamaran from Hvar Island. After arrival at your hotel, join our private guided tour of the Old Town and enjoy a glimpse of the many famous places where the hit TV show Game of Thrones was filmed. The historic medieval city boasts protective defensive walls, majestic palaces and ornate churches. Wherever you look you will discover a unique magical charm and magnificent architecture. You will also take a trip on the Srd Hill cable car to experience breathtaking views of the old town and Elaphiti Islands and can enjoy a delicious meal whilst gazing at the mesmerising sunset.

Day 14 - Dubrovnik (Optional trip to Montenegro)


Explore the iconic sights and wander through the town of Dubrovnik at your leisure and we recommend that you take a stroll along the top of the medieval city walls. Alternatively, you will have the opportunity to visit the city of Kotor in neighbouring Montenegro. The UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site was built between the 12th and 14th centuries and was at one time the settlement of the Romans and early Christians. Ancient city walls surrounding the Fortress of Saint Ivan also protect the city of Kotor and stretch out for two miles in total. You will also have an opportunity to enjoy the spectacular views around the beautiful Kotor Bay.

Day 15 - Return Transfer to the airport
