SATURDAY – SPLIT (D)
Welcome to Split. You’ll be met by your private driver for transfer to your ship that will be waiting in the harbour to bring you on this enchanting 7-night food and wine cruise.
After getting settled into your luxurious cabin, join our local guide for a walking tour that explores the city’s most well-known emblem, Diocletian’s Palace, which covers nearly half the historic centre. A walk along the seaside promenade (Riva) with its swaying palms, wine bars, and eateries, is the perfect way to take in the scene. After returning to the ship, join us for the meet-and-greet cocktail and dinner reception that includes introductions to the captain, your cruise manager, and fellow passengers.
SPLIT – SIBENIK & KRKA NATIONAL PARK (B, L)
We’ll depart this morning by cruising to medieval Sibenik, a more than thousand-year-old fortified city. Upon arrival, you’ll head to nearby Krka National Park which protects magnificent waterfalls like Skradinski Buk.
Stroll the winding pathways whilst admiring the cascades and lush flora – if you bring your bathing suit you might even be able to leap into the tranquil pool that lies beneath the falls. Once you’re back in Sibenik, you can wander through the maze of narrow alleys and backstreets to a traditional restaurant we’ve hand-selected so that you can enjoy an authentic Croatian meal complemented with tasty local wine.
MONDAY – SIBENIK – VIS (B, L)
Sailing on, we head toward one of the most remote, outer-lying islands in Croatia. As Vis was closed for some 40 years, used as a strategic military base, it was only recently opened to commercial tourism which means you’ll get to experience the “Mediterranean as it once was.”
You’ll visit family-run Lipanovic Winery for a tasting experience of delectable wines, including the refreshing white ‘Posip’ and ‘Babic,’ a red wine with flavours that include traces of plums, dark berries, and figs. After your sample, enjoy waterfront dining on traditional fare whilst watching the sun go down over the Adriatic.
TUESDAY – VIS – HVAR (B, L, T)
Wine, wine, and more wine is up next with a visit to sunny Hvar. This island with its vineyard-, olive grove- and lavender-covered hills, offers stunning scenery and historic landmarks, but many know it for the international jetsetters that arrive with their mega-yachts.
The guided portion of your experience is focused on the wine with an inspirational wine tour at Tomic Winery. It produces everything from rich reds to fabulous dessert wines that are widely regarded as the best in the country. Enjoy a sample of some of the top vintages before taking time on your own to delve into the world-class dining and nightlife scene.
WEDNESDAY – HVAR – KORCULA (B, L, D)
Continue your journey to the island of Korcula with its walled Old Town that looks as if it came straight from the pages of a story book. Complete with ramparts and towners, it’s sometimes referred to as a “mini-Dubrovnik.” Enjoy time on your own to explore its narrow streets that are laid out in a fishbone pattern before joining us for a wine tasting trip in the countryside.
Take in the panoramic vistas of lush valleys and then try some of the local gastronomy in one of the traditional konobas or eateries along the waterfront that are ideal for dining with a colourful sunset view.
The small fortified town, ruled by Venetians in the past, has an ingenious layout in the shape of a fishbone, both to prevent the strong winds from chilling the houses in winter, and to inc...
THURSDAY – KORCULA - MLJET – SLANO/ STON (B, L, T, D)
Setting sail for lush Mljet National Park this morning, on arrival you’ll join our expert local guide for a short trek to visit its famous saltwater lakes with their stunning array of emerald and turquoise hues. Back on board the ship, we’ll continue our journey to the village of Slano on the mainland. This tranquil traditional fisherman’s village serves as the entrance point to the small, fortified village of Ston, internationally renowned for its oysters.
There will be time to explore the medieval ramparts before visiting an oyster farm for a sample of its fresh oysters and mussels alongside local liqueur and wine.
FRIDAY – SLANO – DUBROVNIK (B, L)
We’ll make the most of our final day with an early sailing to the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic.’ A highlight for many, its medieval historic centre boasts many centuries-old buildings all encircled with stone walls and gates. You’ll get an introduction on a guided walking tour before traveling outside of Dubrovnik to the Konavle region.
In this rural area, you’ll head inside the home of a family whose ancestry dates back more than 300 years. They’ll host our farewell dinner which includes a traditional and authentic farm-to-table cooking experience and dining that’s complemented by the picturesque views over the countryside.
SATURDAY – DUBROVNIK Check out (B)
After a week of magical memories made, after breakfast it will be time to say your farewells to the captain, crew, and your fellow passengers, many of whom have probably become new friends. With your bags packed and ready, you’ll be met by our private driver for transfer to your local hotel or Dubrovnik’s airport, checking out by 9 a.m. Of course, we hope this won’t be our last goodbye.
We look forward to seeing you on another trip in the future but if you aren’t ready to return home just yet, our travel experts are always happy to help create a bespoke addition to your itinerary.
