Take the catamaran to cosmopolitan Island of Hvar for 3 nights. Then head over to peaceful Korcula by boat to escape the crowds, relax and explore one of the most beautiful islands in the Adriatic. Enjoy its gorgeous olive groves, lush vineyards and secluded private beaches. Finally, discover the beautiful UNESCO listed city of Dubrovnik for 3 nights, with its medieval city walls, its baroque themed architecture and stunning old town.

Day 1 – Arrival to Split

 

Welcome to the stunning city of Split! Our driver will collect you from the airport and you will check into your hotel, the 4-star luxury boutique Hotel Marul. As the second-largest city in Croatia, Split is the main harbour in the Dalmatia region. The Diocletian’s Palace makes the core of the Old Town and a symbol of modern-day Split, incorporating an eclectic combination of Roman temples, Gothic palaces and modern Mediterranean-style stone houses. Take a stroll down the Riva, Split’s palm tree-lined promenade, panorama from Marjan hill or simply walking the cobbled streets of the Old Town, infused with history. Sample the excellent Croatian cuisine at one of the pavement restaurants or cafes.

DAY 2 – Split – City Tour

 

You will be met by our guide after breakfast for a private city tour of Split’s iconic old town, focusing on the Diocletian’s Palace, inscribed on the UNESCO  heritage list since 1979. It was built for the Emporor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century AD, that today forms about half the old town. It is the city’s living heart with its labyrinthine streets and is bursting with activity. Marvel at the gigantic Grgur Ninski statue, a medieval bishop who was an advocate of the Croatian language and culture. Take a walk up the Marjan Hill and you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the majestic Adriatic Sea. Perhaps

Day 3 – Arrival on the island of Hvar

 

You will be driven to Split harbour where you will board a catamaran to Hvar island. Check in to the 4-star Hotel Amfora Hvarwhich is situated in a tranquil secluded bay. Hvar town is set against a backdrop of stone houses and turquoise sea and exudes an authentic Mediterranean charm. For the most panoramic view over the town, climb the 17th century Fortica Fortress. Explore Hvar’s narrow streets, filled with wonderfully atmospheric restaurants and shops selling artisanal beauties. At nightfall, sip a cocktail whilst taking in the sights and sounds of Hvar’s nightlife.

DAY 4 – Speed boat Islands tour

 

An exciting trip on board a speedboat for an exhilarating small group tour of 5 islands. You will have an sensational visit to the famous Blue Cave, a stunning natural phenomenon, wowing visitors with its ethereal blue glow. Learn about the fascinating stories of all these stunning islands. If you’re feeling active during the day, you  could go cliff jumping, snorkelling and cave diving whilst discovering hidden coves and beaches, accompanied by your experienced local guide. Don’t forget the camera!

DAY 5 – Hvar – Wine-tasting/ Jeep Safari tour (optional)

 

Visit award-winning winery Tomić and sample the delicious wines; Plavac Mali, local favourite Bogdanuša or Hectorovich prošek (sweet dessert wine) in fantastic stone cellars, similar to those used by Romans. For a more active day, take the jeep safari tour, exploring Hvar’s countryside. Frozen in time and abandoned in the 1950’s, the nearby village, Malo Grablje has a new-found purpose as an ethno-eco village, providing an insight into authentic island life. There is a restaurant serving traditionally-prepared food, using only locally-sourced ingredients, so you can enjoy a meal in a tranquil and beautiful setting.

DAY 6 – Catamaran to Korcula Island

 

A transfer and catamaran will be arranged to whisk you to Korčula Town on Korčula Island, a small fortified town that sits delicately out to sea. You will check in to your hotel for the next 4 nights – Hotel LiburnaKnown as the birthplace of Marco Polo, we recommend that you start by walking in the great explorer’s footsteps through the delightful little alleyways and curious streets. You will marvel at the incredible layout of the town which protects against wind in winter and increases air circulation in summer, a truly ingenious design. Enjoy the unbeatable views of the Pelješac Peninsula’s vineyards whilst enjoying a sumptuous dinner at one of the fantastic waterfront restaurants overlooking the glistening Adriatic.

DAY 7 – Korcula – Explore the island – Vela Luca/ Proizd

A day of leisure in Korcula with a choice of several optional activities, or you may prefer to relax at the hotel’s private beach. Take a trip to the other side of the island and visit the charming town of Vela Luka. Take a taxi boat from the harbour in the town to Proizd, an island of wild natural beauty. Alternatively you could take a relaxing cruise to Badija Island, a small island reached by taxi boat, a perfect place to enjoy a mellow day in the sunshine. Dine at a traditional ‘Konoba’ and enjoy an authentic Dalmatian treat on your, whilst admiring another sensational sunset.

DAY 8 – Arrival in Dubrovnik

 

Take the  catamaran to Dubrovnik, renowned to be one of the most beautiful UNESCO-listed cities in the world. You will check into the Hotel Kompas which is a luxurious 4-star hotel next to a beach and with an outdoor swimming pool. The city is simply brimming with marbled streets, imposing Medieval architecture and a host of awe-inspiring defensive walls, churches and palaces. For a stunning sunset, take a cable car up Srdj hill, offering stunning panorama of Dubrovnik and Elaphiti islands in front. Sample the local cuisine in one of the many fabulous restaurants in the city, some of which boast sweeping views of the Adriatic coastline.

DAY 9 – Dubrovnik – Private city tour

 

With the  experienced local guide, you will explore the city gates (Pile, Ploce or Buza) and take a stroll down Stradun, the widest and longest street in the Old Town, and a place of gatherings and events. Admire Onofrio’s fountain and the Orlando’s statue and experience the stunning Sponza and Rector’s Palaces at the end of the Stradun. To explore Dubrovnik further, we recommend that you walk the stunning Old City walls – approximately 2 kilometres – with St John’s, Bokar and Minceta tower forts along the way, for breathtaking views of Dubrovnik’s surroundings and watching waves crash into the fortifications. Sample the traditional island cuisine in one of the local restaurants in the city, perhaps trying out the local speciality – a ‘peka’ meal.

DAY 10 – Dubrovnik – Explore Lokrum Island (optional)

 

For a day surrounded by nature and tranquillity, take a ferry trip for a day trip to Lokrum island nature reserve, offering beautiful wild beaches and remains of a 12th-13th century Benedictine monastery of St Mary and a cloister garden. Enjoy a day of nature, surrounded by Lokrum’s locals: peacocks and wild bunnies. There is café offering light refreshments but you may prefer to bring your own picnic from the delicious and vibrant local market that offer fresh delicacies in Dubrovnik.

DAY 11 – Departure Day

 

Time to bid farewell to the friendly hotel staff and others that you may have met during your stay at the wonderful hotel. You will be transferred and to Dubrovnik Airport for your flight home after a memorable holiday.
