Day 1 – Arrival in Venice


The romantic city of Venice, a city certainly like none other. After your airport transfer, take a moment to settle into the comforts of your luxurious hotel. Where streets should be, Venice has its famous canals including the Grand Canal with its shimmering waters, a photographer’s dream. What was once a once a wealthy trade centre between Europe and the East, is now a mixture of palaces and churches which reflect centuries of history. Getting lost in Venice’s narrow alleys is as much a part of exploring this wonderful city, as is enjoying an expresso or delicious ice cream from a Gelateria on the Piazza San Marco. Enjoy one of the cafes, that offer the rich aroma of fresh coffee, around the 118 connected islands that create the single city of Venice.

Day 2 – Venice – Private Walking Tour


Discover the hidden gems of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Venice on an action-packed private walking tour where you will explore its narrow streets and cross some of the 400 wonderful bridges. Our experienced local guide will enlighten you with stories of local secrets as you visit a variety of iconic sites such as St. Mark’s Square, the Grand Canal and Doge’s Palace. You will also have the opportunity to discover Venice’s rich art scene and admire the beautiful architecture including lavish palaces, churches and towers above the narrow canals and rippling waters of the Venetian Lagoon. The opulent palace of Ca d’Oro offers a perfect example of Venetian Gothic architecture. Finish the afternoon by taking a relaxing gondola ride down the hidden passageways and beneath the arching stone bridges.

DAY 3 – Transfer to Opatija


You will be collected by our driver for a private transfer to Opatija, a chic town has the longest tradition of tourism in Croatia which was developed at the turn of the 20th century, remaining in complete harmony with nature. It offers well-maintained public gardens, well-kept beaches and fountains provide a stunning backdrop for the glamorous villas and hotels.  Walk the famous ‘Lungomare’ promenade, which was originally constructed over 100 years ago, dating back to the heyday of health tourism, and stretches in total for 12 kilometres from the picturesque town of Volosko to Lovran. It is a favourite for both local artists and visitors alike and the walk will provide an interesting tale to Opatija’s past. The contrasts of sea and mountains, green parks and blue ocean all combine to make Opatija a spectacular destination.

DAY 4 – Opatija – Optional guided tour of Istria


Today we have arranged an optional inciteful tour of the dreamy Istrian region, dotted with traditional villages that will overwhelm you with their beauty. Visit charming Rovinj, with narrow cobblestone streets, delightful stairways and arches that make the Old Town a sightseeing adventure. Visit the enchanting hill top artist villages of Groznjan or Motovun with its vibrant atmosphere and maze of cobbled streets full of arts and crafts. You will meet the friendly locals, sample the delicious local truffles and olive oils. A highlight is the visit to the Kozlovic winery which has been a family tradition for four generations. After an inspiring tour of the wine cellar with a presentation of the wine production process and you will get to taste the delicious Istrian wines.

DAY 5 – Plitvice Lakes National Park


You will take a private transfer to one of Croatia’s most popular destinations. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the country’s most visited and photographed tourist attractions. This natural beauty spot boasts 16 inter-linked terraced lakes, breathtaking cascading waterfalls and a plethora of gorgeous flora and indigenous fauna. Walk along the pathways and wooden bridges that span the crystal-clear waters of the lakes and enjoy a scenic ride on an electric boat. For a panoramic view of the spectacular landscape scenery, board the train that circumnavigates the paradise park.

DAY 6 – Split


A private transfer to the vibrant seaside town of Split and directly to your cruise ship where you will be able to check in from 1400hrs. You can relax in your deluxe cabin or join a guided tour of the beautiful historical old town. Split is listed as a UNESCO World heritage site and boasts an abundance of classic Roman architecture, which includes the impressive and imposing Diocletian Palace, the former home of a Roman Emperor. Return to the ship for the Welcome meet and greet cocktail reception on board. You will be introduced to the Captain, crew and fellow Croatia island hopping passengers. Overnight in Split.

DAY 7 – Brac/Hvar


Today we visit one of the area’s most beautiful and photographed beaches – the Zlatni Rat. Known as the Golden Cape, this long strip of white sandy beach is ideal for swimming, and is close to the old fishing town of Bol on the island of Brac. After lunch on board, we visit the jet-set island of Hvar – the longest and sunniest island in the Adriatic. Flanked by colourful lavender fields, the island’s hub of Hvar Town is another historic marvel set against a backdrop of sun-bleached white houses and tranquil turquoise sea and exudes the magical Mediterranean charm of yesteryear. Gaze in awe at its landmark stunning cathedral and delight in the magical panoramas of the city, by walking to the top of the town fort. Spend a wonderful evening indulging in the bars, restaurants and cafes. Ovenight in Hvar.

DAY 8 – Vis


We head toward Bisevo to explore the breathtaking Blue Cave. A natural marvel, the Blue Cave is a sea grotto of illuminated light. Visit the remote but remarkable island of Vis, once home to a naval Yugoslav base which is entirely untouched and unspoilt but is famed for being the idyllic setting for the hit movie – Mama Mia 2! Discover the ancient northern side, known for being the first urban centre in Croatia and sample local wines from the island’s traditional wineries. Explore the city in your own pace and visit the ruins of a once magical Roman thermal place. Learn more at the City Museum or walk along the Villae Rusticae. Overnight in Vis.

DAY 9 – Korcula

Depart Vis and set sail towards the magnificent Korcula Island, famed for being the birthplace of the famous explorer, Marco Polo. Lunch at a secluded bay before taking a local guided tour through the charming old town, with its city walls and medieval architecture. Admire the unique fish bone street patterns in the Old Town where you can find a great selection of independent bars and restaurants to sample a range of tasty local food and take in some evening entertainment. An optional trip to a small village on the island for a local Dalmatian dinner. Overnight in Korcula.


DAY 10 – Mljet National Park

Travel south to the island of Mljet, known for its legends that date back to Greek Mythology. The island is also known for its natural beauty with its stunning lush forests and unique salt lakes in Mljet National Park. After a guided tour through the lush woods towards the famous salt lakes, take a boat ride to St. Mary Isle, where you will find a delightful medieval church and a Benedictine monastery. If you’re feeling active, explore the island by renting kayaks, scooters or bicycles, the ideal way to experience the stunning national park. Overnight in Mljet National Park.


DAY 11 – Slano/Ston

The enchanting village of Slano, on the mainland, is our destination this morning. Slano is a peaceful traditional fishermen’s village and the entrance point to Ston, another fortified small village that is famous for its oysters. After exploring the town’s historical medieval ramparts, a short coastal walk will take you to an oyster farm, where you can sample fresh oysters and learn more about this delicacy. Enjoy a fine dinner at the Captain’s Dinner back on board with entertainment and music. Overnight in Slano/ Ston.

Day 12 - Dubrovnik


We will arrive at the captivating coastal city of Dubrovnik that needs little introduction with its iconic sights. It is a well-preserved ancient city that takes you back to the days of the Dubrovnik Republic. Learn about the rich history of the city, including the Renaissance and Gothic influences seen in the city’s architecture. Enjoy a guided walking tour through the old town and into the skies above the city on the cable car, offering the best views of city and islands. Take a leisurely afternoon stroll in the city scaling the city walls or simply treating yourself to a gourmet dinner or a refreshing cocktail with sea views. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 13 - Return Transfer to the airport


You will be collected by private transfer from your hotel and driven to Dubrovnik airport after a very memorable cruise and land tour adventure of Venice and Croatia.
