Our brand new Croatia Conservation and Exploration Scholarship is offering one travel and nature enthusiast a conservation scholarship, travelling Croatia while volunteering to save the local marine environment.

Taking place in summer 2020, our 4-week scholarship includes two weeks volunteering with the Blue World Institute, followed by two weeks exploring Croatia on our luxury land and cruise tours, travelling from the Istria Peninsula to Split, before island-hopping all the way to Dubrovnik.

While volunteering with the Blue World Institute – a non-profit organisation working on scientific research and investigation of the marine environment – you will conduct field research, sailing the ocean to monitor marine life populations and behaviours. You can expect to see as many as 50 dolphins in one day while out on the field!

 

 

You’ll also expand your knowledge of marine life with lectures and other educational activities, and during your spare time you can explore the local area of Losinj where the conservation unit is located – with outdoor sports, snorkelling, swimming and beautiful beaches all on offer.

After two weeks of volunteering, further exploration of Croatia begins with our luxury seven-night tour from Losinj to Split, taking in Rovnij, Opatija, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Zadar and Split. Private transfers and luxury 4* star accommodation is included throughout the week-long trip.

 

 

From Split, the exploration of Croatia continues aboard a luxury seven-night island hopping cruise to Dubrovnik. This idyllic small-shop cruise includes overnight stops in Hvar Island, Vis Island, Korcula Island, Mljet Island, and Ston before arriving in Dubrovnik. A buffer breakfast and 3-course lunch are included aboard the ship each day, with all excursions also included.
